A peaceful spring day

THE RIVER GLEN is predominantly a Lincolnshire river and is most evident in the Bourne area, running through the fen to the south of the town and parallel with the Counter Drain for some distance.

Throughout its length however, the river passes mainly through open countryside and has become a magnet for wildlife and therefore walkers and nature lovers.

One man who knows it well is Geoff Bell, amateur photographer and regular walker who visits this spot often with his black Labrador, Guy, and he took these pictures on that short stretch of the river between Thurlby Slipe and Kate's Bridge where it crosses under a bridge on the main A15.
